What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
To provide the best quote to a customer we would require information on the type of event, including the age of birthday, theme if applicable and the customer's vision or dream event! Date, location and capacity are important but a vision is equally as important to us in order to create your perfect event.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
The most important factor when hiring a service from a supplier is that suppliers past experience. Ask for photos, information on previous events, check their website and testimonials and have a good chat with the supplier before committing to any booking. You want to be sure they will be supplying the type of service that you require, rather than the general service they'd supply to any other customer.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Bristol Party Hire was born from my obsession with lasers and lighting! I started with a single small laser, then bought a few 2nd hand speakers and a couple of disco lights. I began running events in 2012 and each year bought a few more bits of sound and lighting equipment, and by 2014 had enough kit to hire it our to friends and friends of theirs, while running my own festival and events company Subsonic. 6 years later I have a wide range of audio, lighting, special effects, marquees and decor in my fancy warehouse! Bristol Party Hire is more than a job. It is a passion.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
Add to Event has been a great platform for taking bookings. My latest booking was for a 30th Birthday party that wanted to really go all out! Lasers, smoke machines, ball pit, uplit trees and even an ice sculpture which we lit from behind! Our smoke-filled bubble machine also went down very well as always! The birthday girl was extremely happy with the service and had her dream birthday!
