All Fired Up Pizza based in Bradford, West Yorkshire, specialises in creating authentic artisan wood fired pizzas, cooked and served from their mobile event catering unit. They cover the whole of Yorkshire. Their pizzas are made fresh to order using only the finest dough and freshest ingredients – so you can actually watch yours being cooked! With an oven that can reach up to 500°, two 10″ pizzas can be ready in less than 2 minutes. Their mobile pizza catering van is suitable for all events, including weddings, private parties, corporate functions, festivals, sports events, fun days and galas. What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
As a supplier we want to make sure, when quoting for a pizza van, that we have truly understood both your brief and needs. Therefore, it is important you only seek quotes from a caterer for your chosen cuisine. Be specific when it comes to providing extra information such as timings; in our opinion, the more information you can give us, the better - even if it may seem unnecessary.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ask to sample the food before making that all important decision; in the past, if we haven't had events taking place in a potential customer's local area, we have gladly invited them to our outside bar, at home, where we have a pizza oven already set up and we have made pizzas for them to try. Make sure that they have Liability Insurance and also check that they have 4 stars or above awarded by their local council. Here at All Fired Up Pizzas we're extremely proud to boast that we have 5 stars and also have £10m Public & Employer Liability Insurance.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
A few years ago, whilst on holiday in France enjoying the outside BBQ life, I decided I wanted to try and replicate this. Upon returning home I made it my goal to have an outside bar, BBQ & pizza oven built. News spread of my amazing pizzas amongst family and friends and after many successful evenings of lovely pizzas and trialling different recipes, it was agreed this should be a business that we venture into. My wife Sallie and I teamed up with our neighbours, Pete and Sue, who are extremely passionate about food and we couldn't think of anyone else we would want to start this business with.
We purchased first the trailer and then the oven and had fun designing how best to showcase the oven in the van and got help from a great local fabricator who has done an amazing job on fitting out the trailer with stainless steel shelving and cupboards. We then wanted only the best sign writing on the van so decided on going for a full colour vinyl wrap which literally brought the trailer to life.
Our main ethos is "Keep it simple" and to buy only the very best produce from local farmers and farm shops. We want to keep the menu short and sweet with a good choice of pizzas to hopefully tease any palette.
It is our intention to attend and cater at other peoples parties and larger events like country fairs and weddings and corporate events.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
Add to Event has been our main source of good quality leads for pizza vans and a definite springboard. I think the booking that most stood out for us was for a lovely family who had a member who had terminal cancer and rather than wait for him to die and have a funeral they wanted to have a living wake. We worked really hard to make sure we did everything we could to make it extra special and we provided a bottle of whisky to help raise money on the day for cancer. We also adapted the way we setup so we could get as close to their home as possible; when we say we go the extra mile, we mean it.
