A Bit of a Do provides catering services to functions and events of all types and sizes throughout Berkshire and the South of England. What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to provide an accurate quote we would need to know the date of the event, venue details with knowledge of available facilities and approx. number of guests. Timings of the event and what the
client is celebrating also helps us to tailor the quote accordingly.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Look at what the provider is offering and whether the quote is comprehensive or has lots of hidden extras! Make sure that the provider is experienced in the type of event being held.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
A Bit of a Do was started around 25 years ago through love of cooking. I look to provide a friendly,
informal service based on the clients needs. I enjoy meeting different people and catering for
different functions is always exciting.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
We have catered for several events through Add to Event. From a BBQ to Hog Roast along with
funeral catering. We recently catered for an after-wedding party and are now going to cater later in
the year for the family's annual BBQ.
