Ranging from formal, silver service sit-down dinners to picnic baskets and canapes, Greens Catering Services provide a large variety of catering styles. The menus can be heavily customised to suit the event and the budget, meaning that any event large or small can be catered for fully. Formal catering or informal menus - all can be provided for.

What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

In order for us to provide an accurate quotation we need to know how many people the menu is for, the type of budget we need to work towards and also the facilities at the venue.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Greens pride themselves in being able to work effectively with all of our customers, but this is not the case with every supplier. Make sure you have a good understanding of the business you are dealing with, their background, who else they supply, their equipment, staffing and fair pricing.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Greens catering service started as a small sandwich shop, soon after starting in 2012 it became apparent that our outside catering service was overtaking the shop and becoming more and more popular. We became exclusive wedding caterers to a number of wedding venues and town halls causing the company to grow from strength to strength. We have now taken on 4 chefs, an event manager and have 18 weddings booked in this year with an aim of 28 for 2018.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Greens were contacted for a garden party in Mansfield - the initial quote being a basic fork buffet. Once we spoke to the customer and assured him of our menu skills he soon increased the menu to include canapes on arrival, a three course meal, dessert and uniformed staff service. The customer was so delighted with our service that he has welcomed us back 2 years running. We very much hope to join him again next year.
