What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

There are just a few simple questions we need answering to provide an exact quote. The date of the booking, how many sleepover tents needed, the full address and the chosen theme the client would like to book. Extra information such as the reason for the booking ie birthday/ treat/ surprise all help us make the booking extra special. Getting the names and ages of the children is also needed further down the line.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Definitely, look at their reviews on all platforms. Making a decision based on their photos never gives a full picture of the service you will receive. Check they use CE marked equipment and have full insurance. Ask about their hygiene and sanitisation process especially in the current restrictions. Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Pop Up Party UK was born from a desire to use my creative skills and the fact my children were growing up and didn’t want parties anymore. I am not ashamed to say, l was the party mum, the mum that would spend weeks making props and hatching ideas for the most memorable parties. So, the idea of creating a small business that would provide so much joy and wonder for children at the same time as filling my own cup of happiness seemed an amazing idea. It has been so much fun to do and the fact my eldest daughter has joined me, just makes it the best decision l ever made!
Every child should experience some magic and adventure and create memories with their friends and family that will last a lifetime.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We have always had a steady stream of enquires which has been a great resource for us. We had a very last minute booking that was for a birthday surprise & the measurements to get all the tents they wanted would be tough to do. But, we love a challenge. We also, only had 90 mins until she returned from school!!
After, some careful mathematics we figured out the best floor plan, created a beautiful rose gold den of teepees all before the birthday came home. It was such a challenge but all made worthwhile when the little girl opened the door and found her surprise xx
