What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
As well as knowing the date, running times and location of the event we can better respond to quotation requests having as much information as you have about the stage, sound and/or lighting services you're looking for. If you're not sure what size stage you are looking for then we can provide advice on this if we know what the stage is being used for, and what type of acts will be performing (i.e. bands, DJs, dance, martial arts, presentations, mixed bag, etc). We can also help with advice on sound systems if we know whats acts are performing and how big the expected audience will be.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
If you are looking for productions services for you event you need to find a provider that can offer you what you need for you event and not an off the shelf product that may not be suitable with a service that matches. The provider should give you all the information you need in plain English and not use the industry jargon to boost their product. The more information you are able to give the suppliers about what you are looking for, the clearer responses will be back from the providers, which can then be compared with each other.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Koncept Productions was founded by Martin Ruff in 1994 providing PA Systems for band nights around Hertfordshire an Buckinghamshire. During the first 10 years Martin was also working as a sound engineer in London's West End and local regional theatres. The business then grew full time and became a serious competitor to local production companies in the areas. Koncept Productions has grown year on year to become the reliable and well respected company it is today, with a massive stock of staging, sound and lighting equipment.
Koncept Productions started with a passion sound and lighting. This passion has rubbed of on the entire workforce and the whole team enjoy finding the best solution for each event, ensuring the client, performers and audiences go home having enjoyed a great show.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
Add to Event has been great for business. Last year through this website we had an enquiry to provide a stage for a community festival where the client had been let down by another supplier. Only thing was the event was in just over a weeks time. We had other events booked in, but we still had the equipment and crew the client required. So we managed to get everything arranged in time and the event went off without any off the crowds knowing there had been any problems, and the client was so pleased with our service they booked us for the next two years.
