Sweet and Candy Cart Hire in Bristol

My Sweets and Treats is an independent family-run business based in Bristol and say they have something for everyone, from sweet carts, doughnut walls, popcorn stands to much more! They love what they do and here they also provide some great tips for when you hire your supplier.

What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a more comprehensive quote to a customer, ideally we need the event date, venue location with postcode, the estimated number of quests and the reason for the occasion i.e wedding, birthday party. We can then use all this information to put together a quote that is as accurate as possible, while still offering value for money.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure to do some research, There may be a lot of competitors in your area that all offer the same thing. I suggest that you look into the providers that appeal to you first. For example, you may be looking to hire a sweet cart for an event, but what sort of sweet cart do you have in mind? A rustic look, vintage, floral or a cart to match your colour theme? Finally, don't be afraid to ask suppliers for what it is you are exactly looking for, You may be surprised how much they have to offer.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

My sweets and treats started back in 2016. Our business started purely as a hobby and something we enjoyed to do.
The business is run by my husband and me, when we got married we looked into having a sweet cart at our wedding and we could not believe how much it cost, we then started our business to offer our customers value for money in a very competitive market. Around 2 years ago we took our business much more seriously and appeared on a TV show with Noel Edmonds where we then brought our second sweet cart on a show called Noel's sell or swap. Our business has expanded since then and we now offer candy floss, popcorn and much more. We also supply our own range of sweets to retail shops in Bristol.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We have had more bookings with Add to Event than any other events company. From the beginning to end, it's a straight forward and easy process, for both us and the customer(s). We have catered for weddings, birthdays and corporate events with guests numbers ranging from 100 - 300. We also always recommend Add to Event, if we are already fully booked or we can not help with a certain request, we always recommend Add to Event as there is such a wide range of suppliers available, I do believe by using Add to Event is probably the best way, and the quickest way to find a supplier you are looking for.
