What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
In order to provide a comprehensive quote I will need the event date, the venue, whether it's an indoor or outdoor event, the number of expected guests and an outline of the type of ceremony required. This detail is usually provided during a call or zoom meeting. I am then able to provide an accurate quote for a couple's wedding ceremony.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure that you speak in person, via a call or preferably a zoom, to each celebrant you are considering. It is important that you feel a connection with the person to whom you are entrusting your wedding ceremony. Ask them about the process of working together, what support they will offer you and when your wedding ceremony script will be released to you. Make sure that you will be given the script to read in its entirety.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
After a long career in education becoming a celebrant was a perfect match for my skill set. I am absolutely passionate about creating wedding ceremonies that are memorable, moving and magical. I have the highest UK qualification in celebrancy, am multi award-winning and dedicated to providing the very best experience for couples who work with me.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
Tori and Ian's wedding was a real highlight out of the weddings booked through this platform. Together we created a ceremony that was as unique and full of personality as they were. Due to delays because of Covid postponements, we worked together over a very long period of time and created the perfect ceremony that fitted beautifully with their Alice in Wonderland wedding theme. We even created a tea party moment! It is always a joy to create a ceremony for couples and be able to weave in all those little personal, bespoke touches that makes it completely individual.
