What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

I just need to know who the ceremony is for, the date and the venue. I will then make an appointment either face to face or via Zoom or FaceTime for an initial meeting to find out more about the couple, their requirements and wishes. After which I can begin to make a start on creating their perfect ceremony. I cam also advise the couple at this point on what they should do before the wedding, such as legal requirements to make their marriage legal and so on.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

First and foremost I would suggest a couple check to see if their potential celebrant is qualified. In England, a celebrant doesn't require either training or qualification. However, just as you wouldn't want an unqualified pilot to fly you to your honeymoon destination, you probably don't want an unqualified celebrant leading the ceremony on one of the most important days of your life.
I would also suggest meeting your celebrant to see if you get on with them. They will be spending a fair bit of time with you both before and during the ceremony and I basic terms - you need to like them!

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

It seems my journey through life before I became a Celebrant, led me to this path! My experience training staff in the media industry including sessions on presentation skills, my experience as an amateur actor and the 10 years plus I have spent in the wedding industry along with the fact I am a professional singer - all combined give me the perfect background. I have an attention to detail which is so important and I love meeting and speaking to people.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I have used Add To Event for several years and it remains the most cost-effective platform for generating enquiries. Only recently I have listed my services as a celebrant and already I am getting enquiries from such lovely people. I actually get more enquiries through Add To Event than through my own website. I would recommend the site to anyone in the industry.
