What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
I have a standard ceremony fee so providing a quote is pretty straightforward for me. That said there are variations based on the location of your ceremony, if you are wanting to add in any mini rituals or ceremonies or if you want me to stay on as the Master of Ceremonies for the rest of your day's events.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
My key piece of advice would be to make sure your Celebrant is the right fit for you in terms of personality. That way they will really understand who you are as a couple and be able to bring out special little nuggets that will make the day all the more special.
I know that weddings are expensive and budgets can be tight but don't be put off by a Celebrants fee! The right Celebrant will create an unforgettable ceremony and really get your day of celebrations kicked off. They will also have a wealth of ideas and tips that might even save you money in other places!!
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
It might sound really corny but first and foremost I absolutely love love! I also love writing and as a Celebrant I get to write and relive people's love stories with and for them. For me, there is nothing more satisfying than working with a couple, getting to know them, being a checkpoint for them, supporting them right up to the point the ceremony starts and watching all the emotions fly as the ceremony comes together.
Being a former theatre actor and a wedding singer, when I became a Celebrant these two worlds collided and I just knew I wanted to create a business that allowed my clients to have the ceremony of their dreams. One of my most used social media hashtags is #NoMoreBoringWeddings
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
I've been lucky enough to have been booked by some amazing couples via this platform. One that really springs to mind is Nick and Thalia who came to me after a bit of a mishap. The day they first contacted me was just 10 days before their wedding ceremony. They had previously enlisted a friend based in America to conduct the ceremony, but when he fell ill and was unable to travel and with time running out they reached out to me. We got stuck right into the process and were able to pull off a stellar ceremony that Nick and Thalia were both over the moon with. We got so many amazing comments from the guests lots of whom could believe we'd only known each other for only 10 days. That is the power of a great relationship between the couple and your Celebrant.
