What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
We want every event to have its own special design. By asking the customer the right questions, we are able to suggest the most complementary decor for the venue, which will bring any vision to life. All of our events are elegant, stylish and personal to the customer.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
The best advice, is to pick someone with passion. If your planner doesn't offer suggestions, or you don't feel a spark, then they won't be passionate about your event. When money is offered to someone to style and design your event, you should know that they love what they do.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Ivy Lane Floristry & Events started in May 2017. I decided to go solo, and go on a new journey because I had a dream. I wanted to step away from the norm, and be involved in all sorts of projects. So many florists have rules and red tape, and I knew there was room for more.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
My most recent booking through Add to Event was with a company from Leicestershire, hosting their annual party at Rockliffe Hall. I really loved working with Jane on this occasion, as she had ideas but allowed me to evolve them. The finished look was really fantastic. It had the 'wow' factor when you entered the room, but Jane's ideas weren't lost in the process. Dressing a corporate event is very different from a wedding and I love being involved in all sorts of projects.
