Rough Edge Ceilidh Band

Rough Edge Ceilidh Band provides a variety of great music for you and your guests to dance to, and tell you just what to do if you've never danced before. Its great fun and a good way of keeping fit!

Based in Swansea, Rough Edge has been around since the 1970's with various members of the band coming and going. The now seven strong band (with additional musicians as invited) are John on mandolin, Boris on keyboards, Fiona on whistle and flute, Alison on bodhran, Gem on banjo and bazouki, and Sian on fiddle and whistles. Nigel calls for us, helping to guide you through the dancing.

Whilst the band play a variety of music from Irish, Scottish and Welsh reels, jigs and hornpipes to breton tunes, our caller will lead you literally step by step through each dance. And if you're already great dancers, then we can challenge you with some more complicated stepping and rhythms!
