About Rural Recipes Catering
Rural Recipes was started by Karen Laxton in 2003 in the Calder Valley, serving the area in and around Hebden Bridge and Todmorden. The Calder Valley has an abundance of locally sourced produce and suppliers and the locals who live there are focused on being involved with providing for/or supporting their community. This helped us to shape and form our business into what it is today. We are now based in Hebden, north West of Skipton in the Yorkshire Dales, serving around Skipton to Ripon, Harrogate and beyond!
Our business has mainly moved in the direction of outside catering events which range from small intimate dinner parties to large festivals like the Keighley and Craven CAMRA beer festivals. We also cater for many weddings, from a handful of people to sit down service events, for up to 300 people. We have found over the years that our clients like to be involved in designing their own menus, so we decided to work on a bespoke menu selection, making your choice of foods and costs flexible to your needs. Due to our flexibility this has enabled us to build up a regular core of repeat business, which will take us to expand in the years to come.
