Academy of Burlesque and Cabaret is the professionally-led school for all things burlesque, showgirl and cabaret. We run glamorous and fun burlesque, can-can, showgirl and feather fan dance classes and hen parties across the UK, with bases in Cardiff and Edinburgh. Our syllabus includes burlesque, where you will learn to tease, pose and tassel-twirl; can-can where we’ll turn your group into a high- (or not-so-high-) kicking can-can troupe; showgirl, where you’ll recreate the magic of the Moulin Rouge and take your place in your very own chorus line; and fan dance, where you’ll become an expert teaser as you ‘hide and reveal’ with full size feather fans. Our dance classes, workshops and hen parties are available throughout the UK and are suitable for all ages (burlesque 18 plus), sizes and abilities.
We are also professional Cardiff burlesque performers, and run burlesque and cabaret dance troupe Enchanté, and specialist can-can dance troupe French Fling. We also have a strong team of London- and Edinburgh-based performers, and can travel UK-wide.

Our performance credits include television, film, music videos, corporate events, classic cabarets, private parties, charity fundraisers, club nights and special interest groups. Our showgirls have danced with Sean Connery at the Edinburgh Film Festival opening 2010 and with Gok Wan on How to Look Good Naked (Channel 4 and touring show). Other highlights include Edinburgh’s Hogmanay, leading the Guinness world record breaking Irn Bru cancan on Glasgow Green, feature film New Town Killers and performances on BBC and Chiambretti Night (Italy, Canale 5). Further performance credits include work for Coca-Cola, Diageo, Aegon, Miss Scotland, British Library, Bizarre Ball and top hotels including Gleneagles, Edinburgh Balmoral, Prestonfield House, One Devonshire Gardens and hotel groups including Sheraton and Hilton.
