I’m Alex Baker, a Brighton & Hove based nightclub, function, festival and event DJ with two decades behind the decks.

I bagged my first residency with a national leisure brand when I was eighteen, and since then I’ve played everything from 5000-capacity festival stages and Pride events to corporate parties, private celebrations, bars, pubs, clubs and LGBTQ+ venues across the UK and abroad.

Musically, I cover a lot of ground: pop, house, throwbacks, chart, commercial dance, disco, club classics, 80s, 90s, 00s, current hits and the odd curveball when the moment calls for it. I can work from a clear playlist, take requests on the night, build around a loose brief, or read the room as the event unfolds. The aim is simple: keep the energy right, keep the crowd with me, and make the event feel like yours.

Over the years, my own mash-ups, edits and remixes have become part of what I do. They are useful when a crowd wants something familiar, but with a bit of spark, surprise or “what on earth is this and why do I love it?” energy.

If your venue already has Pioneer Nexus DJ equipment, I can plug in and play from USB. No decks at the venue? No drama. I can bring my Pioneer XDJ setup. For events that need a fuller package, I can also supply professional sound and lighting, including Electro-Voice speakers and a full-colour moving-head light show, with options to scale things up for larger spaces.

I started DJing professionally when I was eighteen, and shortly afterwards, landed my first residency with a national leisure brand. Music has always been the centre of it, but DJing is really about people. The right track at the right moment can totally transform someone's experience, change the energy, bring a crowd together or give you the moment that you remember long after the lights come up.

Over the years, I’ve built a broad music library, developed my own mash-ups, edits and remixes, and learned how to adapt to the broadest variety of crowds. A 5000-capacity festival, a packed nightclub, a corporate event, a birthday party and a cosy pub all need different handling.

That’s the bit I enjoy: keeping dancefloors popping, making sure the music feels like it belongs to the people in front of me.

I have two decades of live DJ and hosting experience across the UK and abroad, covering clubs, bars, festivals, Pride events, private parties, corporate functions and hospitality venues.

I started professionally at eighteen with a national leisure brand, then went on to hold a 15-year club residency alongside guest sets and event bookings across a wide mix of venues. I’ve played large-scale stages, including Manchester Pride and Brighton Pride, as well as LGBTQ+ venues, hotel events, bars, pubs, corporate spaces, private celebrations and outdoor events.

My venue history includes long-running Brighton nightlife names, London venues, South Coast clubs, Pride stages, hospitality groups and international bookings. The range is broad: festival crowds, club nights, birthday parties, corporate events, wedding-style celebrations, bar takeovers and smaller gatherings.

That experience means I can adapt the music, presentation and setup to fit your needs. Every event gets a bespoke treatment and we can work together to put on something really special.

I provide DJ and hosting for private parties, corporate events, awards nights, festivals, bars, clubs, Pride events, hospitality venues and LGBTQ+ events.

Clients have included Brighton & Hove Pride, British Airways, Snoozebox at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, nightclub and bar groups, independent venues, and people planning milestone birthdays, weddings, summer parties and one-off celebrations.

The setup and music can be tailored to the event. That might mean a polished corporate party, a full dancefloor birthday, a lively bar takeover, a Pride celebration, a festival crowd, or a smaller private gathering where the music needs to feel fun, personal and properly judged.
