About Alfred's Wood Fired Pizza

Alfred's Wood Fired Pizza brings wood-fired Neapolitan-inspired pizza to weddings, parties and corporate events across the land. Who's Alfred? My Great Grandad, a man who loved doing things right. It's pizza that means a lot.

I'm Jack, and I learned a lot working alongside the founders of Rudy's Pizzeria. Our dough is made fresh for each event; soft, but sturdy enough to eat standing up with a drink in your other hand. All toppings are of top restaurant quality, and are all carefully sourced. We even grow our own herbs and greens in a shared Kitchen Garden, a lot of which end up on our pizzas.

I have also been catering events for over a decade now, be that weddings or corporate do's, and have learnt an awful lot about making events on the move happen. We arrive fully equipped and self-contained, no power or water needed from your venue. Our setup takes around an hour, and from there we keep the pizza coming until everyone's fed. We've catered everything from small garden parties to 200 guest weddings, and we know how to work around weather, timing, and the unexpected.

Based in Holmfirth, and very happy to travel.

Our Story

I love pizza. For me, it's the perfect combination of life's greatest things: bread, tomato and cheese. I got really into it when I started at Anello Pizzeria, working alongside the founders of Rudy's Pizzeria. Leraning about dough, how to manage the oven and how to tiny tweaks make big changes. After years in the restaurant kitchen, I wanted to bring that same standard to events - proper wood-fired pizza in a field, a barn, or a car park. I spent the early part of my career mobile catering, and the urge to return to the road couldn't be ignored. It's the buzz of the events, the adrenaline of a restaurant that can fit around young family life. I love it.

Our Team

On event days I'm joined by a small team - people I've met across my years in pizza kitchens and mobile catering, all who know their way around a pizza oven. My two-year-old is self-appointed head taste tester, she's got high standards.

Experience

Over ten years of catering experience, from restaurant kitchens to mobile events. I trained alongside the founders of Rudy's Pizzeria, and spent years learning the intricacies before taking it on the road. I've catered weddings, corporate events, festivals, and private parties of all sizes - from 30 guests to 200+. Whatever the setting, the approach is the same: turn up early, get set up properly, and keep the pizza coming until everyone's fed.

Typical Clients

Anyone throwing a party, really. Weddings are a big one - we've done everything from relaxed garden receptions to big evening parties. But also birthdays, anniversaries, corporate dos, and the occasional festival. If people are gathering and need feeding, we're happy to feed!

The best pizza!

We booked Alfred’s wood fired pizza to cater for my birthday weekend and honestly, they were absolutely fantastic! The pizzas were amazing — fresh, delicious and there was plenty of choice for everyone. The whole service was so easy and professional, and they were brilliant at catering for allergies too, which gave us real peace of mind. Everyone commented on how good the pizzas were, and having them freshly cooked at the event made it feel extra special. They were friendly, efficient and just took one more thing off my plate (quite literally! ) so I could enjoy my birthday. Would 100% recommend them for any party or event. Fantastic food, fantastic service and a lovely addition to our birthday celebrations! Thank you

Delicious pizzas and brilliant service

We hired Alfred’s Wood Fired Pizza for a 40th birthday party and they were brilliant. The pizzas were absolutely delicious, loads of the guests commented on how good they were and were raving about them afterwards! Jack was great to deal with, and the service on the day was really friendly and efficient. The pizzas came out at a really good rate, so everyone was well fed without having to wait around. The ones we had left over were boxed up for us and munched on for the remainder of the evening. We’d highly recommend Alfred’s Wood Fired Pizza and would definitely use them again for another event. Thank you for helping make the party such a success ☺️

Absolutely amazing
