Amelie Matignon delivers relaxed, hands-on leather and cork craft experiences for corporate teams, private parties, schools, charities and community organisations across London.

Participants are guided step by step through traditional leathercraft techniques to make and personalise their own useful keepsake, such as a card holder, belt, luggage tag, glasses case, coaster, key ring... No previous experience is required, and workshops can be adapted to suit different ages, abilities, group sizes and event requirements.

Sustainability is central to our work. We use high-quality rescued leather off-cuts and cork wherever possible, transforming surplus materials into something personal and long-lasting.

All materials, tools and expert guidance are provided by our friendly workshop team. We are experienced in supporting children, older people, carers and disabled participants, and we aim to make every session welcoming, creative and rewarding. Public liability insurance, an Enhanced DBS check and risk assessments are available where required.

I'm Amélie, a French leather accessories designer based in London. I founded my business in 2017 after working with leather makers and factories across the country.

I began offering workshops because I wanted to share more than a craft. I love seeing people pause their busy lives, work with their hands and enjoy a creative moment together. My workshops are designed to feel welcoming, sociable and accessible, while giving everyone the satisfaction of making something they can take home and use.

Sustainability is also central to my work. I use rescued leather off-cuts from factories, as well as cork for leather-free workshops, giving beautiful materials a new purpose.

I completed seven years of specialist leatherwork education in France before beginning my professional career in 2014. I founded Amélie Matignon in 2017, initially working from my bedroom, and have since developed the business far beyond what I first imagined.

A major milestone was expanding from designing and making leather accessories into delivering creative leather and cork workshops. I now provide workshops across London and the UK in general for community organisations, charities, schools, corporate clients and private groups, working with participants of different ages and abilities.

The business is continuing to grow, with a dedicated studio and a workshop assistant joining the team.

My workshops are suitable for corporate teams, private groups, community organisations, charities, schools and wellbeing events, celebrations, community activities and creative courses.

I have experience working with a wide range of participants, including children and young people, adults, older people, carers and disabled artists. Each workshop can be adapted to the group's abilities, interests and available time, with leather or fully leather-free cork options available.

I completed seven years of specialist leatherwork education in France and hold three nationally recognised French vocational qualifications: a BEP (Brevet d'études Professionelles), a Baccalauréat Professional and a BTS (Brevet de Technicien Supérieur).

I began working professionally in the leather industry in 2014 and founded my own leather accessories business in London in 2017. I also have extensive experience delivering inclusive creative workshops for children, adults, older people and disabled participants. Risk assessments are available upon request.
