Bees and Lilacs is a floral design business based in South West London. We specialise in bespoke arrangements for weddings and events. Our main source of inspiration is the graceful elegance of the English gardens. Following the seasons and selecting stems that naturally bloom together, we create organic, informal designs that add a whimsical touch to any venue. The Founder of Bees and Lilacs I am Paola, its passionate founder and creative director. Floristry is my second career, and having found what truly makes me happy, I pour my heart and soul into ensuring that you receive the best possible flowers to fit your budget and bring your vision to life. Sustainability is also very important to me. Therefore, we follow sustainable practices and buy English-grown flowers whenever possible. My name is Paola and I am the founder and Creative Director of Bees and Lilacs. After a career in finance and a period dedicated to raising my family, I chose to follow my passion for nature and flowers and established my floral design studio. I love creating beautiful designs for my clients and take great care in finding solutions that reflect their individual taste and, whenever possible, their budget. My main sources of inspiration are English gardens, with their understated beauty, and the changing seasons. By working in harmony with the seasons, we create a natural connection between the outdoors and indoors, bringing a sense of peace and quiet elegance. I personally design every arrangement and review each piece to ensure the final result is impeccable.

I have over five years of experience in floral design. I trained at the Judith Blacklock Flower School, which gave me the confidence to establish my studio, Bees and Lilacs. While my early work focused on private clients, for the past two and a half years I have specialised in weddings and events. In 2024 and 2025 I participated in the Chelsea in Bloom competition. In 2025 I was proud to receive a Gold Award for one of my designs.

We design garden inspired florals for all types of events - corporate, charity, private celebrations as well as weddings. We have experience in all of these areas. We design beautiful, fresh floral arrangements for every part of your event or wedding. We also love creating statement installations — from romantic arches to dramatic flower clouds — that provide a magical backdrop for unforgettable photographs and videos. Our approach is entirely bespoke. We take the time to understand your vision, preferences and budget before creating a tailored proposal. We do not offer an off-the-shelf menu or standardised designs. Every floral concept we create is unique, ensuring your flowers truly reflect your style or brand and the atmosphere you want to bring to life.
