We recently powered a wedding at Forcett Hall, supplying electricity for the marquee lighting, festoon lights and live music using our silent battery energy system. Despite challenging access and a lawn installation, everything ran flawlessly—with no engine noise, no fumes and no diesel generator spoiling the occasion.

The Bluepig Story
Some of the best ideas don't begin in a laboratory. They begin with frustration.
For us, it started standing in beautiful places—festivals in remote valleys, weddings in stunning gardens, and events surrounded by nature—only for the atmosphere to be interrupted by the constant drone and diesel fumes of a generator.
It never felt right.
People were choosing local food, sustainable suppliers and breathtaking venues, yet the thing powering it all was often the least considered part of the experience.
So we asked a simple question: What if the power disappeared into the background?
Not because it wasn't there, but because it was silent.
That question became Bluepig Energy.
Built by two people who live and work off-grid every day, Bluepig combines years of practical electrical engineering, renewable energy expertise and real-world experience creating reliable power systems. We didn't design a battery to replace a generator—we designed an entirely different way of thinking about off-grid energy. Our Bluepig units provide 40kWh of silent battery storage, integrated solar charging and off-grid connectivity through Starlink, delivering dependable power without noise, fumes or disruption. Bluepig Energy was born from experience—not theory.
For over seven years, we've been designing and building high-quality off-grid electrical systems through our sister company, Live Slow Campers. During that time we've developed reliable power solutions for customers who depend on energy in the most remote locations, giving us a deep understanding of battery technology, renewable energy and intelligent power management.
The idea for Bluepig came while supporting an ultra-trail running event. Despite being surrounded by stunning scenery, the event relied on noisy, diesel generators that disrupted the atmosphere they were trying to create. We knew there had to be a better way.
That challenge inspired us to build our first mobile battery energy storage system, repurposing electric vehicle batteries to create clean, silent power for outdoor events.
Since then, Bluepig Energy has successfully powered festivals, sporting events and weddings, including supplying energy for an entire off-grid event village with lighting, catering, music, exhibitors and retail stands—all without the noise, fumes or environmental impact of traditional generators.
Key Milestones 2019 – Founded Live Slow Campers, specialising in premium off-grid electrical systems. 2025 – The Bluepig concept was born after witnessing the limitations of diesel generators at an off-grid event. 2026 – Bluepig successfully powered the Peak Divide ultra-trail event using silent battery energy. 2026 – Expanded into the wedding and private events sector, delivering silent power at venues including Forcett Hall.
