Brian Houston

Musician/Singer providing upbeat, energetic entertainment for all ages and genres. Covering everything from 50s rock 'n' roll (Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry), country (Chris Stapleton, Eagles, Darius Rucker) to sixties (Roy Orbison, Beatles, Solomon Burke) and modern-day hits (Teddy Swims, Miley Cyrus, Ed Sheeran). Can adapt to fit your budget, from solo appearances to a full band with horn section, etc.

I got the bug for music as a job when I sang at a Boys' Brigade event. All I wanted to do was music after that. Although I trained as a carpenter and worked my way up to operations manager, I took up music when the company I worked for closed down.

I've had my original songs on the radio all over the British Isles, America and Canada and had my songs on albums with Elvis, Whitney Houston and the Staples Singers.

I've toured extensively all over North America and Europe solo and with a full band.

I've played with Native Americans and First Nations in Canada as well as for the people of Romania, Sweden and France and lived in the US for a couple of years when I was awarded an artist visa.

I've done events of all sizes from rugby and golf clubs to football stadiums and tiny barrooms and even living rooms in folks' houses.

I'm skilled in sound production and live performance.

My clients range from bar owners and music agents to private clients and friends' special events.

I'm a member of the PRS, MCPS, PPL and the Ivor's Songwriting Academy.
