CH Unplugged

CH Unplugged is a Doncaster-based acoustic covers act performing live music for pubs, weddings, parties and private events across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. Craig combines acoustic guitar, vocals and live looping to build familiar songs from the 1950s to today into a fuller live sound. Sets can stay relaxed and laid-back or build into a lively singalong, depending on the room and the occasion.

I've spent years around live music, both performing and working with sound, and CH Unplugged grew out of wanting to do something a little different with familiar songs. I've always liked the idea of taking songs people already know and stripping them back to just voice and acoustic guitar, then building them up again live with a loop pedal.

What I enjoy most is the interaction with the room. No two gigs feel exactly the same—some nights stay relaxed and laid-back, whilst others turn into a proper singalong. That flexibility is a big part of what CH Unplugged is about.

My background in live performance and sound engineering means I'm just as comfortable thinking about how the music fits the room as I am about the songs themselves. The aim is simple: familiar music, played live, with enough personality to make the night feel like its own thing.

I've been performing live for around 17 years, both as a solo performer and with a full band, having started gigging at 18. Over that time I've played pubs, private events, festivals and community events, which has given me plenty of experience adapting to different rooms, audiences and types of occasion.

Alongside performing, I've also built up extensive experience as a sound engineer, so I understand live music from both sides of the stage. That technical background helps me keep the setup professional, reliable and suited to the venue.

CH Unplugged brings those two sides together—acoustic guitar, vocals and live looping used to create a fuller sound than you'd normally expect from a solo act.

The result is a flexible live set that can work just as well as relaxed background music as it can for a lively singalong, with the performance shaped around the room and the people in it.

CH Unplugged is a good fit for pubs, bars, weddings, private parties, festivals, community events and other occasions where people want live music without the footprint of a full band.
