Why we do what we do

Chou Rouge Creative was founded in 2019 by Adrienn and Laura, who met through Adrienn's monthly rave series, Colors, and quickly discovered a shared creative spark and work ethic. We started with little more than big dreams, tiny budgets, and salvaged treasures — early projects, including work with Barrio Bars, were built from materials rescued from venue renovations, and that resourcefulness has shaped how we work ever since. Using upcycled materials, we create beauty without adding to the environmental crisis, which is what led us to move away from balloons entirely in favour of reusable fabric bunting, mirror balls, and foliage. That approach has grown into our hire shop, home to over 1,000 metres of vibrant bunting and a collection of distinctive props — work that saw us named in The Telegraph's "100 Female Entrepreneurs to Watch" in 2022.
