I am available for bookings for a minimum of 2 hours. I use marker pens to create quick caricatures on A3-size cartridge paper at a range of events, specializing in wedding receptions. I can sometimes use colour in the caricatures if the guest list is smaller.
I am flexible in how I work; walking around, mixing with guests while drawing them, and sitting at a small portable easel- suitable for couples and group caricatures. I arrive 15 mins early to set up/ familiarise myself with the venue.
* Another service I can offer is Caricature table place-cards; these are smaller, personalised caricatures of all your guests ( and of course, a double one for the Bride & Groom). These cards can be placed in a small card stand at each place setting. I just require photos ( a suitable file) emailed to me in good time - usually allow at least one month before the wedding for up to 90 guests, and two months for 100 - 150 guests.

Our Story
I have always been drawing and doodling since I was a child. It was my favourite subject at school. I went to art college to train as a Graphic designer, later concentrating on illustration when I entered the tough world of trying to make a living as an artist. Somehow, I became interested in drawing faces and became a portrait artist, which led me to travel Europe and spend 5 years living and working as an artist in Spain.
I started getting into caricature work when drawing sketch portraits at the Edinburgh Festival. A Caricaturist friend told me he was doing gigs at weddings ( I had never heard of such a thing!). I enlisted with a couple of entertainment booking agencies, made up my Facebook page, and that's how it all started!
Our Team
I work on my own ( I know, it's sad!). I asked my wife if she would be my assistant, but she only wants the hotel 'Stay-overs' that are required for distant late gigs. She does support me, of course. I am thinking of asking an amateur photographer friend to accompany me on occasions, to take some video reels, as a promotional tool.
I consider the others behind my business to be: my regular Art shop, which stocks my particular brand of cartridge paper and pens; and my picture-framer, who cuts the mounts for my Pre-wedding caricatures. There must be others, too.

Typical Clients
Most often I receive requests for weddings and parties. Normally in November -December there is demand for Corporate/ Christmas office party entertainment.

Great pictures, great chat, guests loved it!
When Chris arrived our wedding meal was running slightly behind and he started doing walk rounds, to make sure as many people got caricatures as possible in the time available. The pictures were great and people loved them, he took time to get the parents of the bride at the end as they really wanted one together. A really great part of our wedding!

Only wish we had booked him longer
It was a pleasure to have Chris at our wedding reception. Our guests loved him. We only wish we had booked him longer as not everyone was able to get a caricature that wanted one.
