I am Chris, a commercial and event photographer working from Wakefield across Yorkshire, the North and the UK since 2020. I photograph the events businesses need to show: conferences, awards nights, product launches and store openings, networking evenings, formal dinners and Christmas parties, plus on-site headshot days and brand photography for websites and marketing. For larger events I bring a managed photographer team under one point of contact, one gallery and one invoice.

Prices are published, so you know before you ask: a two-hour mini session is £350 plus VAT, a half day £650, a full day £1,200, and headshots from £85 a person. Travel is included across Yorkshire and the North. A next-day gallery is available on every booking, with a social-media set so the pictures are out while the event is still news.

I started Chris Whittam Photography in September 2020 with one camera and a van, in a year when nobody was holding events. The first jobs were small business launches and headshots around Wakefield; the bigger events followed, and the business found its shape in the ones that needed more than one photographer and one person to run them. Six years on, I photograph around 120 jobs a year for companies, agencies and venues across Yorkshire, the North and the UK, from a two-hour headshot session in a Leeds office to a 500-guest awards dinner with a team of photographers under one point of contact. What drives it is simple: an event happens once, and the pictures are the only part of it that lasts. My job is to make sure the client opens the gallery the next morning and sees the evening as it felt, not as it was lit.
