Clive's Caricatures

Clive has been entertaining at wedding parties for twenty years after discovering the joy of being a live entertainer. A highly recommended and reliable caricature artist, his relaxed and friendly approach, natural sense of humour and incredible skill to capture a likeness and character quickly and accurately make him the perfect choice for your wedding. Guests are able to enjoy the experience of having their caricatures drawn whilst feeling at ease by chatting to Clive about themselves or the artist. He can either work from a base or wander around with his A4 pad and pens. Having a base to operate from can be a more productive method, as a constant queue means a busy night drawing. Drawings are presented in a poly A4 sleeve for protection. Aside from weddings, Clive is available for many other events, including charity balls, private and corporate parties, and fetes.

After my first wedding, I realised I loved live caricature drawing. I had been a natural history illustrator but worked remotely. The reward of entertaining and engaging people at events is something I will never tire of. Nothing beats the sound of laughter as they see their caricature. Pure magic.

I have been drawing live for 20 years now and have travelled to many parts of the UK to attend weddings and other events. I'm looking to improve my drawing but remain a confident and speedy artist who can draw a person in 2–3 minutes in black line and grey tone.

Weddings are my main client area. However, I have now started to draw at more corporate events such as business expos and parties. I also draw at private parties and outdoor events such as fêtes and fairs. Of course, I do private commissions via email for cards, portraits and more, in colour and pencil.
