Stefano's background as a musician taught him to anticipate moments before they happen. Whether photographing a keynote speaker, a dancer backstage, guests at an exhibition opening, or attendees at a corporate event, he looks for genuine interactions and fleeting expressions that reveal something real about the people in front of the camera.

He believes the strongest photographs come from observation rather than intervention. His aim is to work unobtrusively, allowing events to unfold naturally while creating images that feel honest, elegant, and timeless.

Before photography became his profession, music was Stefano's life. He worked as a professional pianist and piano teacher, spending years immersed in performance and the arts. In the early 2000s, he began photographing musicians in concert, combining his understanding of performance with a growing passion for visual storytelling.

From those early assignments, his work expanded into weddings and dance photography before naturally evolving towards the art world. For more than a decade Stefano has photographed private views, exhibition openings, artist talks, gallery events, and cultural projects across London and beyond. More recently, his portfolio has grown to include corporate events such as award ceremonies, keynote presentations, product launches, and industry conferences.

More than 100 of his photographs have been published in PHOTO Vogue, reflecting a career built on capturing authentic moments with sensitivity, timing, and attention to detail.

Alongside his commissioned work, Stefano maintains a passion for traditional black-and-white film photography. He develops and prints his own photographs by hand in his home studio and regularly works with vintage cameras and lenses that he has collected, restored, and maintained over many years. For him, photography remains as much about craftsmanship as it is about storytelling.
