Photography started as a hobby, born from a love of sport and the outdoors. I started noticing the moments other people missed: the split-second before a tackle, the tension on a driver's face at the start line, the way light changes everything in an instant.

Over time it became something more deliberate. I wanted to capture those moments properly — not staged, not scripted, just real. That's what drew me to sports and event photography. The action is unpredictable, the moments are fleeting, and you only get one chance to get it right. That challenge is what keeps me going.

Today I combine my photography with a background in technology (I'm also an AWS Solutions Architect by trade), and that methodical, detail-oriented mindset carries into every shoot. I plan, I prepare, I anticipate. Then I let the moment happen and make sure I'm in the right place when it does.

I've been photographing sport across Gloucestershire since 2015, building a portfolio that now spans field hockey, motorsport, corporate events, and wildlife. Over that time I've delivered more than 10,000 images to clubs, teams, drivers, and businesses.
