Dakota

Dakota are a two-piece covers band available for weddings, parties, clubs and corporate events. Dakota perform live guitars, saxophone and percussion, with excellent male/female vocals and harmonies. They also sequence all their own backing tracks at The Loft Studios, ensuring a top-quality sound (no bought backing tracks)! The band perform a wide variety of covers to suit every audience. With 30 years of experience between them, they know a huge range of songs and regularly learn the latest chart hits. They have their own fully self-contained PA and lighting system and are extremely organised, professional and reliable. They can also DJ during the break if required. Dakota also write, produce and perform throughout the UK and abroad. Andy has released albums with 'Skyline' and 'New Leaf' and recently released his solo album Tobias Mink on Bendi Records. Elaine has regular house music releases, with work signed to Ministry of Sound & Hed Kandi, and her album with Colin Sales, 'Our House', was released on CSD Recordings. Elaine was also a live semi-finalist on Britain's Got Talent 2014 with Peat Loaf!

Music has always been a huge part of our lives. Dakota was born from our shared passion for live performance and our love of creating a great atmosphere for an audience. Between us we have decades of experience performing, singing, playing instruments and working in the music industry, from pubs and clubs to weddings, festivals and major events. We love what we do because there is nothing quite like the energy of a live audience. Whether it’s getting people dancing, singing along to a favourite song or creating the soundtrack to someone’s special occasion, that connection with the crowd is what inspires us. We are both experienced musicians and performers, and we bring that experience into everything Dakota does. We perform live vocals, guitar, saxophone and percussion and produce our own backing tracks, giving us the flexibility and sound of a much larger band while keeping the energy and interaction of a live two-piece. We are constantly inspired by new music, great performers and, most importantly, the people we play for. Seeing a dance floor full and an audience having a brilliant time is exactly why we do what we do.
