About DJ Remit

From buying his first set of decks/turntables at the tender age of 11... Steven a.k.a DJ RemiT has been beat matching & working within the music and entertainment industry for over 3 decades now. Specialising in Urban Dance music... from House to Reggae, Drum & Bass to Garage... from Pirate, National & International Radio stations to performing at the Notting Hill Carnival... Steven has performed at some of the biggest clubs in London and also alongside some of the biggest names within the music industry. Whether you just require a DJ to turn up and play on pre-existing equipment… or you need a DJ including a full set up, booth, speakers, lights etc. Whatever genre of music or vibe you require at your event... Steven has you covered!!!

Our Story

I have and always have had a passion for music… specifically DJ’ing. Teaching myself how to beat match on belt driven turntables at the age of 11 tells you everything you need to know about how early I wanted to become a DJ. & ever since then… I’ve achieved and ticked off nearly every single bucket list experiences all DJ’s would love to do in a lifetime! I’ve also worked with some of the biggest names and brands on the planet! Trying to explain my full experience and knowledge within this industry would be very hard to put down on paper.

Absolutely fantastic DJ! 10/10

We had the pleasure of having DJ Remit at our wedding, and we couldn’t have asked for anyone better! From start to finish, he was professional, helpful and punctual, making everything completely stress-free for us. The music was fantastic, and he kept the dancefloor going throughout the entire evening — exactly what we wanted! He really helped create a brilliant atmosphere and played a great mix of tunes that kept everyone up dancing. We would highly recommend DJ Remit to anyone looking for a fantastic DJ for their event. We’d absolutely use him again if we ever need a DJ in the future. Thank you for helping make our wedding evening so memorable!

Fantastic DJ - highly recommend!!!

We hired Steven for our Year 6 Leavers' Party on Friday 17th July, and he was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. His communication in the lead-up to the event was excellent, making everything so easy and stress-free. On the night, the music was brilliant, with a great variety that kept both the children and adults entertained and on the dance floor all evening. The photo booth was a huge hit, and the bespoke photo template Steven created for our event was exceptional. It was such a thoughtful touch and gave everyone a wonderful keepsake to take home. Steven genuinely helped make the evening so special, and we received so many compliments from our guests. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend him!!

Brilliant service! Highly recommend

We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ for my husband’s 40th birthday! Communication was fantastic from start to finish, making everything so easy to organise. He played all the songs we requested and happily took requests from our guests throughout the evening. He was such a lovely gentleman—friendly, approachable, and a pleasure to deal with. The setup looked incredible and really added to the atmosphere. Everyone had a fantastic time, and the music was perfect for the evening. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him. Thank you for helping make the celebration so memorable!

Overall Fantastic

Steven was absolutely amazing from start to finish! His communication throughout the whole process was fantastic, and his setup looked brilliant on the day. He read the room perfectly and kept the dance floor going, despite our friends and family having such varied music tastes. He really worked with the vibe of the room and made sure everyone had a great time. On top of that, he was such a lovely, professional presence throughout our wedding day. We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ and would highly recommend him. Thank you, Steven, for helping make our day so special!

The best DJ

A good Dj is hard to find but from first enquiry to end of Party Communication was brilliant responded to messages quickly By far the best DJ we have ever had and played exactly what we wanted a little bit of everything we didnt want the party to end. A bonus was the selfie pod meaning we didnt need 2 suppliers and I got a copy of all the amazing pics. I will be recommending to friends who need a DJ and Will defo use again for myself in thr future
