Our Story
I’m Javier Roca, born in the beautiful region of Valencia, the birthplace of authentic Paella valenciana. From a young age, I learned the secrets of this dish from my dear mother, in those family gatherings where the aroma of freshly made paella filled the air and brought everyone together around the table. My passion for paella led me to start my own business in Spain, where I successfully ran Bona Paella, a takeaway paella restaurant in Alcossebre. For four years, I built a loyal customer base, drawn by the authentic flavours and tradition infused into every dish. Looking to expand my business but faced with high costs in Spain, I decided to take a leap and move to London. Here, I discovered a vibrant food scene, but something was missing: true Paella valenciana. While I saw paella being served in markets and restaurants, none followed the traditional standards that make this dish a symbol of Spanish gastronomy. That’s when Gourmet Paella London was born, a premium paella catering service designed for exclusive events and private celebrations. It’s not just about serving paella; it’s about creating an authentic experience, where guests can watch the cooking process live, enjoy the highest-quality ingredients, and share unforgettable moments over an authentic freshly prepared paella. At every event, I bring the spirit of my homeland to life: a beautiful gathering where paella unites family and friends around the table.

Fantastic paella and great service!
We had an amazing experience with Gourmet paella ! The food was absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked, and full of authentic flavour. The chef was incredibly friendly, approachable, and went out of their way to make sure everything was just right. They were also very helpful throughout the event, making the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a fantastic paella and great service!
Brilliant & delicious
From the response to quote, right through to packing down, Gourmet Paella was brilliant. They got on with set up quickly and easily and were happy to accommodate a few decorations to tie in with the party theme. I took pictures and videos of the Paellas being made, which is such a fun authentic process to see for the guests, its a bit of theatre that adds to the party. They tasted incredible, all of the guests loved it (including vegetarian). The team were friendly and professional and I would highly recommend.

Excellent paellas, catered for every taste and diet. Service was excellent, couldn’t have asked for a better caterer. Such a nice man and had a lovely unobtrusive personable manner.
Fantastic service
Wow! What an evening we had with over 30 guests at our garden party The delicious food was prepared and cooked fresh with 3 choices of paella to suit all dietary requirements including Starters and deserts. Javi and he’s assistant Alberto are lovely friendly and professional They brought everything and assembled then disassembled without any fuss what so ever We are delighted as where all my guests Thankyou for giving us a no hassle party and I highly recommend to others holding an event.
