Highway 65

Highway 65 brings a lively mix of rock, country and popular favourites to weddings, parties, pubs and private events. With over 30 years of live performance experience, Darren combines live guitar and vocals with professionally produced backing tracks to create a full, energetic sound. With a varied set list, professional equipment and the flexibility to tailor the music to your event, Highway 65 is a great choice for keeping your guests entertained and the atmosphere going.

Music has always been a huge part of my life, and the reason I first got into performing is still the same reason I do it today — I simply love being on stage and entertaining people.

There's something special about live music. Whether it's seeing people singing along, getting up to dance or simply enjoying the atmosphere, I've always loved the connection that music creates between a performer and an audience.

I've been performing live for over 30 years in a variety of bands and musical projects, which has given me a wealth of experience playing to different audiences and at all kinds of venues and events. Highway 65 brings all of that experience together into a versatile solo act designed to suit weddings, parties, pubs, clubs and private events.

My set includes a crowd-friendly mix of rock, country, indie and popular favourites, performed with live guitar and vocals alongside professionally produced backing tracks. This gives the performance the energy and fullness of a band whilst still keeping the personality, interaction and feel of a live solo artist.

Every event is different, so I always try to tailor the performance to suit the occasion. Whether you're looking for relaxed background music, well-known singalong favourites or a lively evening set to get the party going, the music can be adapted to fit your day and your guests.

For me, a great performance is about much more than simply playing the songs. It's about creating the right atmosphere, engaging with the audience and helping to make an occasion feel special and memorable.

Highway 65 is built around that love of performing, and my aim at every event is simple — to provide professional live entertainment, great music and an experience that your guests will genuinely enjoy.

I've been performing live music for over 30 years, playing in a number of bands and musical projects across a wide range of venues and events. Over that time, I've gained extensive experience performing rock, pop, indie and country music to all kinds of audiences.

Throughout my career I've performed as part of several bands, including Talisman, Twisted, Midas and CATalyst, before creating my current solo act, Highway 65. Moving into solo performance has allowed me to bring together everything I've learned over the years and create a versatile live show combining vocals, guitar and professionally produced backing tracks.

One of the biggest milestones for me has simply been continuing to perform and enjoy live music after more than three decades. I still get the same enjoyment from entertaining an audience today as I did when I first started.

Highway 65 now performs a varied mix of country, rock, indie and popular favourites, with sets that can be tailored to suit weddings, parties, pubs, clubs and private events.

While I haven't focused on awards or competitions, my biggest achievement is the experience I've built over the years, the confidence to work with different audiences and venues, and the ability to provide a professional, reliable and enjoyable live performance.

Highway 65 is available for a wide range of events, including weddings, birthday parties, private celebrations, pubs, clubs, corporate events and other special occasions.

I can adapt the performance to suit the type of event, from relaxed background music during drinks or an early part of the evening, through to a more upbeat set designed to get guests singing along and enjoying the party.

My typical clients are people looking for professional live entertainment with a broad mix of well-known rock, country, indie and popular songs. I’m happy to work with couples, private clients, venues, event organisers and businesses, and I always aim to make the performance fit the audience and atmosphere of the event.
