About HTHR

Hi, I'm Heather, also known as HTHR.

I'm a Southampton-based DJ with over three years of experience performing at club nights, music events, private parties and community events. Music has always been a huge part of my life, and I love creating energetic, memorable experiences that bring people together on the dancefloor.

My style is versatile and adaptable, allowing me to read the crowd and build the right atmosphere for each event. Whether it's a packed club, a birthday celebration, a student event, a corporate function or a private party, my focus is always on delivering a set that keeps the energy high and people engaged.

Alongside DJing, I've launched my own event series, HTHR & Friends, and founded a female DJ collective, CTRL FR34KS, in Southampton to help create opportunities and build community within the local music scene.

If you're looking for a professional, reliable DJ who genuinely loves what they do and knows how to create a great atmosphere, I'd love to be part of your event.

Our Story

My journey into DJing started after attending Parklife Festival in 2023. I came home inspired and found myself deciding between learning music production or buying a set of DJ decks. I chose the decks, and what began as a hobby quickly became a passion. To build my confidence and experience, I started hosting house parties every couple of months, bringing friends together through music and using the opportunity to develop my skills behind the decks.

Since then, I've had the opportunity to perform at a variety of events, including club nights, open decks, community music events, private parties and Southampton Hip Hop Month. I've played at venues such as Suburbia, The Lounge, IO, and performed at Palmerston Park's Bandstand Party with Address and SoCo Music Project, an organisation dedicated to supporting people in music across Southampton.

Alongside DJing, I've become passionate about creating opportunities for others. I recently hosted my first independently organised event, HTHR & Friends, an all-women DJ lineup that I planned and promoted myself from start to finish. I've also founded CTRL FR34KS, a female-led DJ collective in Southampton focused on supporting, connecting and championing women in the local music scene.

Music has always been a huge part of my life. Growing up, artists such as Jamie xx and Skrillex sparked my love for electronic music, while seeing artists like Fred again.. perform live showed me the power that music has to bring people together. What inspires me most is discovering new music, understanding the stories behind it, and finding creative ways to connect tracks that create memorable moments on the dancefloor. I genuinely love digging through music, experimenting with mixes, and constantly developing my sound. For me, DJing is about more than playing songs—it's about creating energy, building community and sharing a passion that has shaped a huge part of who I am.

Experience

Over the past three years, I've built experience across club nights, community events, private events, open decks and independently organised music projects. I've performed at venues and events across Southampton, including a back-to-back set at a packed event at Suburbia and appearances at Southampton Hip Hop Month and community music events such as Palmerston Park's Bandstand Party.

Alongside performing, I've become increasingly involved in creating opportunities within the local music scene. I founded HTHR & Friends, an event series that brings together DJs and music lovers through inclusive, high-energy events, and I also founded CTRL FR34KS, a female-led DJ collective that has secured a regular residency while supporting and showcasing women DJs in Southampton.

Beyond live performances, I have released multiple DJ mixes on SoundCloud and continue to develop my skills through regular practice, music discovery and event involvement. I've also been involved in helping develop and prepare local music spaces for public events, giving me valuable experience both behind the decks and behind the scenes. Through every project, my goal has been to contribute to the local music community while continuing to grow as a DJ, promoter and creative.

Typical Clients

My clients range from private party hosts and birthday organisers to music promoters, venues and community event organisers. Whether it's an intimate house party, underground music event, club night or special celebration, I focus on creating a welcoming atmosphere and delivering a memorable experience on the dancefloor.
