Our Story
Il Peperone Piccante is a family-run wood-fired pizza business based in Rochester, Kent, founded by Oliver and Valeria.
Established in 2017, the business was built on a clear principle: authentic Roman-style pizza made by hand, using traditional techniques and high-quality Italian ingredients.
With nearly three decades of professional experience, Oli personally prepares and stretches every dough by hand, following a process refined through years of working across Europe. The pizzas are baked in a wood-fired oven, delivering a light, crisp base and consistent quality without shortcuts or compromises.
Valeria manages customer service, bookings, and event coordination, ensuring every event runs smoothly from first contact to final service. Together, they operate a fully mobile pizza truck serving private parties, weddings, corporate events, festivals, and community gatherings.

What a great service.
Good communication before the event. Prompt arrival and great organisation to get everything ready. The pizzas were amazing! Everyone commented on how great they tasted. Service was just right all the way through. We will certainly rebook for next year. Thank you very much for completing our weekend with the best food! Oh, and the team were so polite, professional and friendly!
