Our Story
My filmmaking journey didn’t start in a classroom; it started with a backpack and a sense of wonder. While documenting my travels across the globe, I fell in love with the challenge of hunting for a narrative in real-time. I quickly learned that the most powerful stories aren't found in expensive, bulky setups, but in the raw, unscripted moments that happen when you're mobile and unobtrusive.
This "fly-on-the-wall" philosophy became the foundation of Just Connor Films. I realised that by stripping away the technical bloat and focusing on a narrative-driven eye, I could capture the true "grit and passion" of a person's wedding day or a brand’s unique identity. Today, I’ve refined that nomadic, self-taught approach into a professional toolkit. Whether I’m using the cinematic depth of my Lumix S5IIX, the high-energy flexibility of an iPhone and gimbal, or the sweeping scale of a DJI drone, my mission is to deliver a bespoke film that feels as real and intentional as the story itself.

Our Team
I’m Connor, the filmmaker behind Just Connor Films. My path to behind the lens was anything but traditional; at 26, my journey has taken me from hailing from Scotland to serving with the Royal Fleet Auxiliary, before eventually relocating to the Midlands. Life took a unique turn when I bought my narrowboat, Ardea, and launched a floating candle business, an experience that deepened my appreciation for the "grit and passion" it takes to build something from scratch.
Experience
My filming experience is as diverse as the locations I’ve visited. From the remote village of Kerr Layen in The Gambia, where I documented life in its rawest form, to the polished, high-energy atmospheres of Epicurean Coffee and Wine Lounge, Electric Chapel, and Spot and Pickle, I’ve honed my ability to adapt my "fly-on-the-wall" style to any environment.
This background in both global documentary and local business promotion has given me a unique eye for storytelling - one that has led to a fully booked calendar for several weddings throughout 2026. Whether it's a remote project or a high-end commercial promo, I bring the same focus on authenticity and grit to every frame I capture.
