Specialising in authentic styles from the 1920s through to the 1960s, we create stunning vintage looks, from finger waves and victory rolls to cat eyes and statement red lips, using professional techniques rooted in the real history of each era. Whether you're dreaming of Great Gatsby elegance, Speakeasy sophistication, Grease-inspired rock 'n' roll glamour, or the timeless Old Hollywood glamour of Hollywood's golden age, we bring the vision to life. Our team of skilled vintage hair and makeup artists work with all hair types, skin tones, and styles, because great glamour belongs to everyone. For themed events and parties, we offer two ways to get involved. We can style your staff ahead of the event so your team looks the part from the moment doors open, or set up our pop-up vintage salon on the night so guests can be transformed as part of the experience itself — perfect for Gatsby parties, Speakeasy nights, Dirty Dancing events, Back to the Future themed celebrations, and everything in between. Weddings are our speciality too. We work closely with nearlyweds and their wedding parties to create cohesive, era-inspired looks that photograph beautifully and feel effortlessly timeless — from intimate elopements to large celebrations. Based in Margate and travelling across Kent and London, we bring decades of expertise, a genuine love of vintage culture, and a whole lot of joy to everything we do.

Le Keux Vintage Kent was born from a lifelong love affair with all things vintage — starting, as so many great stories do, with a VHS copy of Grease. Growing up in Dorset in the 90s, the world of polka dot dresses, victory rolls and rock 'n' roll felt like it only existed on screen. It wasn't until my 20s that I discovered I really could live that vintage life — and without the misogyny or sexual repression, thank you very much. The real turning point came in 2009 when a friend's wedding gave me the perfect excuse to finally wear that polka dot prom dress with the fluffiest petticoat underneath. I spent hours on YouTube learning vintage hair and makeup to match, and I'll never forget the confidence and pure joy I felt on that first girls' night out in full vintage regalia. That feeling changed everything. After 20 years of building skills in events, marketing, and leadership, and a Le Keux makeover for my own 40th birthday, that lifelong passion finally bloomed into a business. I started Le Keux Vintage Kent because I know first-hand what it feels like to look in the mirror and finally feel like yourself, and I can't wait to share that feeling with others across Kent, London and beyond.

With over 20 years of experience working in events, marketing and leadership, Le Keux Vintage Kent is built on a seriously solid professional foundation. Owner Vicky began her makeup journey training with The Body Shop, where she developed a love for enhancing natural beauty and making people feel wonderful in their own skin, values that remain at the heart of everything Le Keux does today. Since launching, we've had the pleasure of working with an incredible range of clients and events — including Gravesham Council's VE Day Celebration and Fort! History Weekend, Kent 50s Festival and Kent and East Sussex Railway's 40's Weekend — alongside intimate weddings, private celebrations, corporate events and large-scale themed experiences across Kent and London. In 2025 we were proud to be named a Finalist in the Quirky Wedding Awards in the Authentic Hair and Makeup Artist category — a recognition that means a great deal to us as a business built on genuine vintage craft and artistry.
