My love for cooking started in Cuba when I was just 10 years old. After school, I would come home and cook for my family while my mum was working. What began as something I simply needed to do soon became a passion. I discovered how much I loved creating food, bringing people together and sharing the flavours I grew up with.

Years later, after moving to the UK, I built a career working as a retail manager. Although I enjoyed my career, I never lost sight of my passion for cooking or my dream of sharing authentic Cuban flavours with a wider audience.

In 2011, I decided to take a leap of faith and follow that dream. I opened my first street food stall at Portobello Market in London, bringing the vibrant flavours and spirit of Cuba to the streets of the city.

That first step became the beginning of Los Cubanos — a business built from childhood memories, family, passion and a love for Cuban food and culture.

Today, we continue to bring that same passion to every event, serving delicious Cuban street food and cocktails and creating an experience that allows our customers to taste a little piece of Cuba.

From a 10-year-old cooking after school in Cuba to bringing Cuban street food to events across the UK — this is the story of Los Cubanos.

With over 15 years of experience in the street food and hospitality industry, Los Cubanos has grown from a small dream into a much-loved Cuban street food business.

Our journey began in 2011, when we opened our first Cuban street food stall at Portobello Market in London. It was an exciting first step towards sharing the flavours and culture of Cuba with customers in the UK.

Since then, we have continued to develop our food, drinks and event catering experience, bringing Cuban flavours to markets, festivals, private celebrations and events.

Every event has helped us grow, learn and build lasting relationships with our customers. We are proud of our Cuban roots and of how far we have come, while continuing to bring the same passion and family-inspired recipes that started it all.

Today we are the proud owners of Los Cubanos, the only Cuban food business in Five Valleys shopping centre, Stroud.

Our team also holds Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene qualifications, with the knowledge and training required for the safe handling, preparation and service of food.
