How It All Began

Like many magicians, I first became interested in magic as a child, learning a few tricks before eventually drifting away from it.

Years later, while travelling in India with my wife, something happened that changed all that.

My wife showed a magic trick to some children we'd met. They absolutely loved it and immediately wanted to see more. Unfortunately, neither of us knew any more tricks!

I decided that when we returned home, I'd learn a few more, just in case we ever found ourselves in that situation again.

Well, a few tricks turned into quite a few more, and before long, I was completely hooked.

Then, while performing some magic at a friend's party, the DJ spotted me and offered to pay me to entertain at his grandmother's celebration.

That was my first paid booking, and things grew from there.

More than 25 years later, I'm still performing, still learning and still getting just as much pleasure from seeing people's reactions.

What inspires me isn't simply fooling people. It's the laughter, the surprise and the way a little bit of magic can bring complete strangers together.

I've since become a proud member of The Magic Circle, but the thing I enjoy most hasn't changed since those early days.

It's seeing people smile, laugh and share a moment they'll remember.

And to think, it all started because we didn't know a second trick!
