Major Tom Creative is a Kent-based video production and photography business helping organisations create professional content that connects with their audience.

One of our biggest strengths is helping people feel comfortable on camera. We understand that being filmed doesn’t come naturally to everyone, which is why we take a relaxed and straightforward approach that puts clients at ease and helps them communicate with confidence.

We work with businesses, charities, schools and event organisers and professional sports teams across London, Kent and the South East, producing high-quality videos and photography for marketing, events, websites and social media.

Our services include conference and event filming, promotional videos, interviews, corporate storytelling, social media content, photography and short-form video production.

I started Major Tom Creative in 2021 after the pandemic, following several years working in marketing where I managed video and photography projects for a large organisation.

During that time, I saw first-hand how powerful visual content could be, but I also saw that professional video production often felt out of reach for many businesses and charities due to cost, complexity or simply not knowing where to start. My goal was to make high-quality video and photography more accessible, approachable and affordable for organisations of all sizes.

When I first went freelance, I had no professional camera equipment and started by filming projects on my iPhone. Since then, the business has grown steadily through referrals, repeat clients and a commitment to delivering great results.

Today, I work with a professional three-camera setup and regularly film and photograph events, interviews and campaigns across the UK and Europe.

What inspires me most is helping organisations tell their stories and communicate their message effectively. Whether I’m filming a conference keynote, interviewing a business owner or capturing a charity event, I enjoy meeting people from different industries and helping them share what makes their organisation unique.

One thing that has remained constant throughout my journey is my belief that great content starts with great relationships. I understand that being in front of a camera can feel daunting, which is why I focus on creating a relaxed, professional environment that helps people feel comfortable and confident.

I have been working professionally in video production and photography since 2021, after previously working in marketing where I managed video and photography projects and saw first-hand the impact great visual content can have on an organisation.

Prior to that in my previous life I spent 12 years working as a Construction Surveyor. I took a big risk moving into the creative space, with a young family and bills to pay! But since I committed I have never looked back!

Since launching Major Tom Creative, I have worked with businesses, charities, schools, healthcare organisations and event organisers across the UK and Europe. My work has included conference and exhibition coverage, corporate interviews, promotional videos, social media content, keynote presentations, charity campaigns and photography projects.

What began with filming on an iPhone has grown into a professional production business using a multi-camera setup capable of delivering high-quality content for a wide range of clients and events.

A significant milestone has been building long-term relationships with repeat clients, many of whom continue to trust me with their content year after year not just to film in the UK but across Europe.

Major Tom Creative provides videography and photography services for conferences, exhibitions, corporate events, award ceremonies, networking events, charity fundraisers, school events, product launches and community events.

I am also a member of the Sports Journalist Association where I contribute as a professional sports photographer where I cover the English Premier League, England national team.

Typical clients include SMEs, charities, healthcare and life science organisations, schools, event organisers, membership associations, professional services firms and local businesses across London, Kent and the South East.

I am a member of SJA, and BECTU the UK’s largest union for workers in the media, entertainment, and video production sectors.
