I’m Merlin the Magician (Benjamin), a contemporary close-up and stage magician performing at corporate events, weddings, private parties, and family celebrations across the UK.
My style blends comedy, psychology, and sleight of hand. Imagine if Tommy Cooper and David Blaine had a baby — funny, skilful, and just a little unbelievable. I don’t take myself too seriously, but I take your event seriously. My job is to make sure people are laughing, talking, and remembering the magic for years.
Magic runs in the family. My dad was a magician, and I’ve been performing since I was a kid. I turned professional at 14 and, thousands of shows later, I still love creating those “how on earth did he do that?” moments.

Our Story
Magic runs in the family. My dad was a stage magician on cruise ships, and he started teaching me when I was about eight. By twelve he was taking me to venues to practice on strangers, letting me learn from every mistake. At fourteen I went full-time, working restaurant residencies for a small fee and tips (back in the cash-heavy days). By sixteen I was performing most days at corporate events, weddings and private parties.
I’m now twenty-seven with a honed act, but I never walk in with a script. I read the room, lean into each crowd’s humour, and tailor the material so it feels personal. My objectives are simple:
1. Make people laugh,
2. Amaze them with magic they’ve never seen before,
3. Break the ice so conversation flows, and
4. Create memories that last.
About eight years ago I added a separate children’s show. It’s a different beast to my adult work—high-energy, colourful and relentlessly interactive. I make the kids feel like they are doing the magic, keep them involved every minute, and have them howling with laughter while the adults relax and enjoy the moment.

Our Team
It’s primarily me (Merlin the Magician / Benjamin). For big guest lists I can supply a trusted second magician and a self-contained PA for parlour/after-dinner sets. For children's parties, festivals or family events I can also supply bouncy castles and face painters I’m fully self-sufficient on setup and liaise directly with your coordinator.

We hired Benjamin (Merlin) for our daughter’s 9th Harry Potter–themed birthday party, and he was absolutely incredible from start to finish. His energy never dipped — he was enthusiastic, engaging, and full of life the entire time. He managed to keep a group of children of all different ages completely entertained, which is no easy task, and every child was fully captivated by his magic and humour. Benjamin (Merlin) was a fantastic addition to our celebration, truly elevating the whole experience. We received so many compliments from parents and kids alike, and the party wouldn’t have been nearly as magical without him. We couldn’t recommend him more!
