Mrs P’s Cakes

Mrs P’s Cakes is an independent cake business based in Chatteris, Cambridgeshire, creating cakes for weddings, birthdays and special occasions.

The designs range from elegant tiered wedding cakes and floral arrangements to personalised birthday cakes, themed creations and sculpted 3D cakes. Each order is made to suit the occasion, with the design, colours and decorative details tailored to the customer’s requirements.

Decorations can include handmade sugar flowers, edible prints and personalised toppers, allowing a wide variety of themes and styles to be incorporated into the finished cake. Whether the design is classic and understated or detailed and imaginative, care is taken to achieve the desired look.

There is a choice of flavours and fillings, from traditional favourites to more distinctive combinations. Cake size, flavours, decoration and other requirements can be discussed before a quote is provided.

Every cake is made to order using quality ingredients, with careful attention to both flavour and presentation. Mrs P’s Cakes is registered and holds a food hygiene certificate.

Baking has always been part of my life, and what started as a hobby gradually grew into Mrs P’s Cakes.

What I enjoy most about cake decorating is the opportunity to take an idea and turn it into something real. I particularly love working on challenging designs, exploring new techniques and creating cakes that are a little out of the ordinary. Every project brings something different, whether it involves intricate details, unusual shapes or a completely individual design.

One of the best parts of what I do is seeing people's reactions when they see their finished cake. Knowing that something I have created has become part of someone's special occasion makes all the time and effort worthwhile.

I believe there is always something new to learn in cake decorating. I continue to develop my skills through specialist training in 3D cake sculpting, wedding cake design and other decorating techniques, building on my knowledge and exploring new ways to bring creative ideas to life.

Mrs P’s Cakes brings together my love of baking, creativity and the challenge of turning ideas into edible creations. Every order gives me the opportunity to create something different, with the aim of making the cake a memorable part of the occasion.

Mrs P's Cakes was established in 2021, and since then the business has continued to grow whilst I develop my skills and explore new possibilities in cake design.

A major milestone along the way was winning Cake of the Year with CakeFlix in 2023. I have also participated in international online cake competitions and collaborative projects with other cake artists, sharing ideas, learning from others and gaining inspiration from the wider cake decorating community.

These experiences have encouraged me to keep learning and developing my skills. Through specialist training and additional courses, I continue to expand my knowledge and explore new techniques, bringing fresh ideas and experience into my work.

My clients include couples planning their weddings, families celebrating birthdays and other special occasions, and anyone looking for a cake made for a particular event or theme.
