I’m a Manchester-based photographer capturing relaxed, natural weddings and events across the North West. I work calmly and unobtrusively, focusing on the small, meaningful moments that often go unnoticed — a glance between parents, a nervous smile before a proposal, or laughter at the edges of the room once people forget the camera is there. I don’t stage the day or interrupt what’s happening. I quietly observe and capture the real story as it unfolds. Couples often tell me they notice moments in their photos they didn’t even realise were happening on the day. I cover weddings, proposals, engagements, christenings, parties, and small corporate events within 50 miles of Manchester. Images are delivered via a simple online gallery.

Our Story
Photography started as a personal passion and gradually grew into something people began trusting me with for their most important days. What I enjoy most is capturing the atmosphere of an event as it naturally unfolds — the real expressions, the small interactions and the moments people often miss. I use a Leica SL with high-quality Leica lenses to keep the look clean, natural and consistent.

It’s just me — Steve Swain. I look after everything from the first message to the final edits, so clients always know exactly who they’re working with. My approach is friendly, steady and unobtrusive; I like to blend into the background and let moments unfold naturally. With years of experience photographing real, meaningful moments, my aim is always to create a relaxed experience and images that people genuinely love.
