A photograph preserves a moment, but my watercolour paintings has the power to turn it into poetry. My live watercolour paintings captures the emotion, joy, and tenderness of your day in a way that feels timeless—while giving your guests the joy of watching your love story come to life, brushstroke by brushstroke.
Every artwork is lovingly personalised to reflect your vision and the atmosphere you’ve dreamed of - all presented in a glass (not Perspex) frame with mount which will compliment your home environment. The result is a romantic keepsake—an heirloom filled with emotion, beauty, and the essence of your love—sure to create a true “wow” moment for you and your guests.

I offer two main services:
• Live wedding paintings of the bride and groom; and
• Live wedding guest portraits/illustrations
LIVE WEDDING PAINTING FOR THE BRIDE & GROOM
I provide two sizes
• A3 (33 x 49 cm): £599 • A2 (42 x 59.4 cm): £1100
Each package includes high-quality watercolour scene or portrait with great likeness, consultations, up to 7 hours of live painting on the day, additional studio time post-event, delivery to your home address and a glass display frame and mount (black, white, oak or rustic).
LIVE WEDDING GUEST PORTRAITS / ILLUSTRATIONS
I offer two A5 packages:
- Half day - 4 hours for £499 (30 guests) - Full day - 8 hours for £899 (70 guests)
Both packages includes full consultation, watercolour and ink guest portraits, Arches 300 GSM cotton paper, artist's travel expenses to and from the venue (tbc), frame and mount in plastic sleeve and an A4 portrait of the newlyweds completed after the wedding.

Our Team
Patrick Heisel OBE, is a London based professional artist with over a decade of experience painting in watercolour. He has painted at over 50 live weddings and events with the experience and professionalism to deliver. His live watercolour paintings captures the emotion, magic, and tenderness of your day in a way that feels timeless—while your guests watch your love story come to life. With a focus on likeness and thoughtful artistic touches, I ensure you and your partner look your best.
Much of his knowledge and skills were taught through mentoring by accomplished artists and training courses by the masters in watercolour painting.
Patrick's main interests are landscape, architecture, military, police and wedding scenes. His use of loose ink, shadows, texture and perspective makes his work truly unique. The aim of his paintings is to reveal the natural beauty of a landscape, character of a building or joy and emotion of a wedding scene or an event that the observer would not otherwise see.
Patrick was named a winner in the Hitched Wedding Awards 2026 - recognised as the most valued and recommended vendor for live wedding painting.
Early on in his life, he served as a police officer in Metropolitan Police Service and commissioned staff officer in the Army Cadet Force.
He has competed as a wildcard contestant for Sky Arts 'Landscape Artist of the Year' television show and has taken part in many plein air events. He also donates his paintings for charity auctions and other good causes.
Patrick was awarded his OBE in 2013 for services to policing and education.
