Meet Evelyn

Behind Casa Flora by Evelyn and Petal Events is me — Evelyn, a qualified florist, creative, educator and event stylist with a passion for beautiful details and creating memorable celebrations.

Alongside my floral and event businesses, I work at the University of Cambridge. My professional background is rooted in education and project management, and I hold two Master’s degrees — one in Education and another in Project Management.

You might wonder what that has to do with flowers and weddings…

Actually, quite a lot.

My background in education has taught me how to communicate, understand people, teach and pay attention to detail. My project management experience has taught me how to plan, organise, coordinate, manage timelines, work with different people and solve problems when things don’t go exactly to plan.

And those skills are incredibly valuable when creating weddings and events.

Casa Flora by Evelyn is where my love for fresh flowers comes to life. I specialise in bespoke fresh wedding floristry, creating everything from bridal bouquets and buttonholes to ceremony flowers, installations and those little floral details that make a wedding feel truly personal.

Petal Events is the home of our silk florals, drapery and event styling. We create elegant backdrops, beautiful draping, statement silk floral installations and bespoke décor for weddings, celebrations and events.

I also run Floral Masterclasses, combining my love of floristry with my background in education to share techniques, knowledge and practical skills with other creatives and aspiring florists.

For me, this is about so much more than making something beautiful.

It is about listening to your ideas, understanding your vision, planning every detail and creating an experience that feels beautifully considered from beginning to end.
