Hi, my name is Richard, and I am the owner of Pizza Al Forno, a mobile wood-fired pizza business based in Staffordshire.
We use only fresh, high-quality ingredients to serve classic Neapolitan favourites alongside a selection of innovative and exciting new flavour combinations.
Our custom-built mobile kitchen—equipped with a full-sized wood-fired oven—is compact enough to fit into most venues, allowing us to prepare and cook authentic pizzas on site and serve them to your guests piping hot.

We offer two serving options:
• Whole Pizza Service Individual pizzas are freshly cooked and served in pizza boxes for your guests to enjoy.
• Buffet-Style Service Freshly baked pizzas are sliced and displayed for guests to help themselves. We provide disposable plates and napkins.

Our Story
Our journey with Pizza Al Forno began in 2017, but the idea had been simmering long before then. As a husband-and-wife team, both of us — Richard and Kim — have always shared a love for good food, great hospitality, and the simple joy of bringing people together. We believed that food should be an experience, not just a meal, and we were particularly inspired by the authenticity and theatre of traditional Neapolitan wood-fired pizza.
Before starting the business, we had both spent years working in customer-focused roles, learning what it means to deliver reliable, friendly, high-quality service. Combined with our passion for cooking and the Italian food culture we admired, the next step felt natural: create something of our own that allowed us to share that passion with others.
We built Pizza Al Forno from the ground up — literally — designing our mobile wood-fired kitchen and perfecting our dough, techniques, and flavour combinations through countless hours of practice. What inspires us most today is the same thing that inspired us at the beginning: seeing people enjoy fresh, authentic pizza made right in front of them, and helping to make their event memorable.

Our Team
Pizza Al Forno is run by a dedicated husband-and-wife team. My name is Richard, and together with my wife Kim, we bring our passion for authentic wood-fired pizza and exceptional service to every event we cater.
Experience
We founded Pizza Al Forno in 2017, and since then we have catered for hundreds of weddings, parties, and private or corporate events across the Midlands and beyond. During the challenges of the Covid period, we adapted by offering a local pizza delivery service, allowing us to continue serving our community while keeping our team and customers safe.
We are proud to consistently hold the highest Food Hygiene Rating of 5, reflecting our commitment to exceptional standards in food preparation and safety.
Above all, we strive to ensure that every event we cater for is handled with professionalism, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for delivering outstanding food and service.

Great pizza, great price!
Richard communicated well on the run up to our wedding. There was a great menu choice. On the day service was fantastic and lots of people commented on how amazing the pizza tasted! Richard also provided gluten free and vegan options so all our guests were well fed. Not only was it fantastic, it was also for a fantastic price. 100% recommend!
