Serena Smith & Friends

I started out learning classical music in school (in America), then started Irish dance which inspired me to learn the tunes. After moving to the UK I tried my hand at busking. Started out with just Irish tunes, and eventually built up my show to also perform popular music with backing tracks. Feeling inspired by bands like Elephant Sessions, Talisk, and Face the West, I really wanted to combine my skills to create a new sound. In this way I can bring traditional music to people from all walks of life because I've added a bit of flare which makes it interesting

For private events we have performed for wedding receptions, birthday parties, and corporate events. We also do public ticketed events for rural touring, festivals, theatre shows, and pubs. Our music is varied and appeals to a wide audience. Often people book us when they want to dance but our show is interesting enough as well for people who just want to sit and watch.
