I’m Simon Smith, an experienced open format DJ based in Burton upon Trent, covering the East Midlands and beyond. I take a professional but relaxed approach to every event.

My journey in music started almost three decades ago, producing and remixing back in the late ’80s. Long before laptops, controllers and CDJs, I was creating remixes using an old desktop computer. One of my early highlights was an official remix release connected with the band Morcheeba in the early ‘90s. More recently, I’ve entered remix competitions and have been lucky enough to win the grand prize several times. Around 10 years ago, I made the move from producing and remixing into DJing, and I’ve never looked back. Whether it’s a wedding, private party, corporate event or festival, I bring a huge range of music and the experience to keep the dancefloor moving, whatever the crowd.

Im happy to take most requests, I’m also happy making announcements on the mic but I’m not the kind to make cheesy shout outs or hype comments all night, let the music do the talking!

All of my equipment has recently been PAT tested and a certificate can been produced on request. I also have public liability insurance.
