STAPLE is a mobile smash burger trailer based in Torquay, serving freshly cooked burgers, fries and simple, proper food made to order.

We specialise in juicy smashed beef burgers, melted American cheese, pickles, crispy onions and our signature STAPLE sauce, all served from our converted catering trailer.

We cater for private parties, weddings, corporate events, festivals and other celebrations across South Devon. Our setup works particularly well for relaxed, informal events where guests want great food without the formality of traditional catering.

Everything is cooked fresh on site, giving your guests hot food straight from the grill and creating a bit of theatre at the same time.

STAPLE started from a simple idea: make really good burgers without overcomplicating them.

We wanted to create the kind of food we genuinely enjoy eating — smashed beef patties, melted cheese, proper sauces and great ingredients, cooked fresh and served hot.

From there, we built STAPLE around a converted catering trailer and developed a small menu focused on doing a few things properly rather than trying to offer everything.

What started as a local burger concept in Torquay has grown into something we can now bring directly to weddings, private parties, corporate events and celebrations across South Devon.

For us, the best events are relaxed, social and centred around good food. That’s exactly what we want STAPLE to add to every event we cater.
