Sweet Silent Disco began with a simple idea: music can bring people together, spark memories and lift spirits.

As a former fitness instructor and a health and wellbeing facilitator, I’ve seen how much difference movement, music and human connection can make. I wanted to create an experience where people could join in in their own way—whether that meant dancing, moving gently in a chair, singing along or simply enjoying a familiar song.

That became Sweet Silent Disco. Our sessions combine music through wireless headphones with gentle movement, playful props and encouragement from a facilitator. At the heart of every visit is the person taking part: their interests, their memories and what makes them smile.

We’ve now brought that experience to more than 600 care homes and reached over 25,000 residents. We also bring the fun to community events and celebrations, including end-of-term parties and fully hosted children’s birthday parties, with tailored music, games, props and plenty of opportunities to join in.

For me, the most rewarding moments are often the smallest: someone recognising a favourite song, sharing a memory, or joining in when they usually sit back and watch.

That’s our story—creating moments of joy and connection through music, and helping people feel part of something.

Sweet Silent Disco brings together my years of experience in fitness, health and wellbeing with the creativity, enthusiasm and care of my fabulous team.

Together, we’ve visited more than 600 care homes and reached over 25,000 residents, creating sessions filled with music, movement, reminiscence and connection. We’ve also expanded into community celebrations, end-of-term parties and fully hosted children’s birthday parties, tailoring each experience to the people taking part.

As the founder of Sweet Silent Disco, I bring a background in fitness instruction and health and wellbeing facilitation. Alongside my fabulous team, I use that experience to create welcoming, inclusive activities tailored to the people taking part.

We’re proud to be a partner of the National Activity Providers Association (NAPA) and to deliver activities across the Bristol Dementia Alliance network, supporting opportunities for music, movement and connection.

We also work with established care home groups, including The Orders of St John Care Trust, Care UK, HC-One, Avery Healthcare and Barchester Healthcare. These relationships sit alongside our visits to independent homes and community organisations, helping us bring Sweet Silent Disco to more people.
