About Tapas Me The Plate
Tapas Me The Plate was built by Rafael and Alexandra from a shared passion for honest, ingredient-led cooking and a belief that food should feel personal, not generic. What started as a small idea has grown into a business focused on creating memorable dining experiences that bring people together.
Rafael is a classically trained chef who now works closely with private clients, including Premier League footballers, delivering restaurant-level food in a more relaxed, intimate setting. Alexandra, as sous chef, plays a key role both in the kitchen and behind the scenes, helping shape each event and ensuring everything runs smoothly from planning through to service.
We’ve catered for a wide range of events — from corporate functions, weddings and birthday celebrations to Christmas parties, private dining experiences and relaxed get-togethers. This includes everything from canapé receptions, buffets and grazing tables to BBQs, meal prep services, and large-scale paella events, as well as more formal 3-course and tasting menus. We’ve also had the privilege of catering for charity holidays supporting children with specific needs, which is something we’re particularly proud of.
