The Theming Company

We are a family run business. From individual props, stages, dance floors, lighting, marquees to complete themed events we can provide a bespoke service to fulfill all your event requirements be it large or small. Since starting the company in 2012 we have provided event equipment and advice to hundreds of satisfied customers.

We cater for all budgets and venues. Over the past years we have mainly (but not exclusively) focused on the Military functions being ex Military myself providing equipment and advise to organisers of the Officers and Sergeants Mess Summer and Christmas functions. We pride ourselves on providing a non obligatory, no nonsense upfront pricing quote catered to your specific needs. We always arrive on time to setup the equipment and are not afraid of working long or unsocial hours to get the job done correctly.

We have full Public Liability insurance and can provide all necessary Risk Assessments and PAT Testing as required.

As the founder of The Theming Company before leaving my full time Military Career in 2014 I knew I could not just go and get a standard 9 to 5 job as that just wasn’t me. I needed something that was challenging and diverse. As I had experience of organising large functions whilst in the Military I decided to see if I could continue doing something that I really enjoyed, that inspired me and also be able to work alongside my wife and son in establishing a family run business. The satisfaction gained from turning a blank canvas to a great event location and happy customers is immense and we made the right decision.

In total 30 years full time Military serve, 10 years part time Military service and 12 years running The Theming Company. I have also been a foreman of a large marquee company for 2 years utilising my organisational skills. Sonja has been with me from the start and Ben has also extensive experience with marquee erection. He also runs his own event’s company alongside assisting me.

We provide event equipment to individuals holding a small family party to large corporate events and everything in between. We have a vast experience of dealing with all sorts of requirements, locations and customers.

The Theming Company is a member of MUTA (Made Up Textiles Association, the UK’s only trade association for marquees, tents and temporary structures).
